Mother of three, had leg cramps myself as a child up into my 20's. Always check with your doctor of course. For some help now try giving your child bananas. Potassium in the banana eases the cramps. Warm baths, and or alcohol rubs can also help ease the pain. And your choice of childrens pain reliever. once she is better a good thing for anyone is yoga or a daily activity. Hope that helps.

Take her to the doctor. She may also be low on potassium. Try feeding her some bananas. In the summertime many people eat them to make up for what you lose during sweating out in the heat. But like I said, she also needs to see a doctor.

Ditto----see her doctor. That walking on tip toes thing can get to be a habit, and it can cause deformity in the muscles and tendons of her legs. Don't wait.

my daughter used to also get these...we checked with the doctor and it turned out to be nothing but growing pains..as the muscles and ones grow in children the doctor said it can lead to cramping and leg pain at night when they are at rest..i used to rub her legs for her before bed and it seemed to help...check with your doctor though to make sure its nothing mor serious...

Take her to a ped's orthopedic as it sounds like she may have some shortening of the calf muscles which can lead to problems as she gets older and continues to develop.

You should take her to her pediatrician and not relying on answers here. This is nothing to fool around with. At least go to WebMD if you need to use the Internet.
