First you need to research which University you want to attend and what the entrance requirements, application windows and areas of specialty are.

U of Chicago, Kellog, is strong in marketing and management
Columbia U and U of Penn are strong in finance , etc.

Most schools admit for courses starting o/a 1 Sep. The applications have to be in prior to Dec of the preceding year. You may have to take the GMAT and your ability to choose a Business School is largely determined by how well you do on that test and your performance in your undergraduate programs.
In terms of work experience, the requirements vary by University.

A good start may be to check out the national rankings of Business schools.

If you're a native English speaker, you don't have to worry about the TOFEL exam, or if your undergraduate work was done in English, then that requirement is void.
