I agree, it is a VERY annoying ad.
But these guys have to make a living!!
I must admit, I sometimes buy one product over another because I haven't noticed any annoying advertising for that product. A bad advert can have the opposite effect.
Take the "Oil of Olay" advert for example.........but luckily, there are lots of other products on the market to choose from
Vote with your feet! It's good that you are telling everyone about your experience..

You should see that Top Gear episode, in which Jeremy Clarkson drives a Bugatti Veyron back to England - while trying to become quoted happy via the carphone. It's impossible of course, and the utter ignorance of the callcentre staff is funny.
Ever since I saw that bit, I can smile at the advert too.

to answer your question tho', No I've never been quoted happy as I wouldn't call them because I dont want to have any part in the funding those bloody annoying crappy ads.(even if they saved me 100's)

One of my friends tried this. The call centre was in India and the operator did not have a sense of humour. Probably hadn't seen the advert in India............

I know! I wouldn't react like that unless they said they'd pay me a few million to get my car insured. Where's their British dignity!!!

They wanted £1000 more than another company. I may as well give you their name - Elephant. I recommend them.
