A terrorist group called Hezbollah, which has strongholds in Lebanon, has attacked Israel and kidnapped 2 of her soldiers. When Israel started to bomb them, Hezbollah's men fired rockets on Israeli cities (civilians, that is).

Retaliation. I heard Lebanon together with some other nations have ganged up on Israel and bombed it some time ago.

Palestain has a Israel soldier which they will return only if Israel freed Palestinian prisoners.

it started with the capturing of the hezbollah guerilla of 3 israeli soldiers and not surrender them. but actually a close study will reveal that it dates back to the jewish-arab war.
