I am a male but I love vacations. I love traveling.
I don't know much about Michigan but you've got the lake and there must be other things to do.
Be blunt and flat out ask your man what he wants.

There are terrific places in Michigan to go on vacation!!!
Nothing is BORING in Michigan!!! It is what YOU make of your time here!
You could visit all the Lighthouses.
Do a trip around the lake-shore.
Check out Tahquamenon Falls in the Upper Peninsula.
Go to Michigan Adventure in Muskegon
Visit Mackinaw Island, Cross the Mackinaw Bridge
Visit Holland Michigan, See the Windmill
Camp in all the State Parks.
Swim in all the Great Lakes

I love vacations but I hate the driving part!! also I really don't like that if I go somewhere I have to visit EVERY site seeing etc! I
Also, the shopping part!!! I really think that I don't HAVE to buy a present for everybody
I like more relaxed vacations!!

I agree with jennifersuem. How can anyone be bored in Michigan?
3200+ miles of shoreline.
11000+ inland lakes.
~120 lighthouses.
300+ islands.
Waterfalls.
etc.
etc.
