Err...my answer would be under NO circumstances use a camera phone image for eBay! Well, I suppose some of the new camera phones which take 1MP+ would be OK, but the quality of picture you get from most camera phones would really put me off bidding on something on eBay.

Oh, as for editing, any computer program for image editing could remove the numberplate. Even Paint would, but I wouldn't reccomend using paint. I'd probably use Photo Editor by selecting the number plate, using cut and using the smooth function so it doesn't look so digital. Or you could use Background Remover on Serif PhotoPlus or Adobe Photoshop or similar program.

You will have to get it onto your computer to post it on ebay right?
When you have it on your pc open it in Paint (should have that as its a free thinggy). You can find Paint under Start, Programs, then Accessories.

Just select the button that looks like a paint can, and spray over the number plate.

why do you need to remove number plate?
are you afraid that some one might do a check...and find out that it is on credit and not paid for...or that it might have been in an accident..
