To be real, a bf/gf is temporary - until you get married and vow to be with each other for the rest of your life. I've had several BFs in the past and after I broke up with them I managed to live my life without them. Now I am happily married... we love each other and we vowed to be together.. til death do us part... but I guess I can still live even without him.
A best friend is for life. My best friend since high school is still mybest friend until now.. when we had a disagreement once, we were both devastated. Somehow, we managed to patch up. I say best friends are more real... they deserve to be kept for life.

I would stick with the best friend as love can be fleeting and true friends accept your faults as well as the best in you, while G or BF's will always try to bring about change.

I agree with Emma, Keep ya best friend, cos they are the ones who pick up the pieces when ya get fu**ed over by the girlfriend!
Saying that I would take that side, back on the singles market as of last week! haha!

I couldnt live without my bestfriend, friends are forever, although I love my boyfriend to bits. I have known my bestfriend for 8 years and my boyfriend 2.

I did choose my bf purely on the basis that i really do not have any best friend.I flitter around with everyone so that's alright.

Well hopefully your G or B friend is your best friend also so it would be ok to give up your next closest whom would be your best friend I guess...
