I don't have much to say......so far :-).
I am not American and don't live in the US either !
Am from what is affectionately called the Old Europe but building an igloo to ward off the heat and humidity .
Seems Julia has not yet found out that the anglophone countries have the same page !:-)

Yes, I am American, and to be honest, while you might not be, it seems a lot of people on here are also American, maybe even a majority. The style in which people typically communicate here is in the informal (and sometimes sloppy or even vulgar) conversational style, and it's my experience that those using English as a second language have a more formal style since it's learned in school, and usually not in the conversational style. Those foreigners sound different, even on paper.
And honestly, since SO many people are currently entering the USA and taking legitimate jobs with illegal papers, it's not a big jump for us to ASSUME that if you don't live here yet, you will eventually; and might even have to fight us for our jobs -- but that's a whole different story...
And, to ask a question that EXCLUDES Americans (or anyone) is probably more rude than what you are talking about -- who knows for sure...

Hello!
I would've had a nicer day if it wasn't so hot in central England. I had a swim and that helped for a while, but then I was back to melting again. Even the fans are just blowing very warm air about the place.
I want a mega-long spell of torrential rain to bring in some cool air.

Let's see now---America is one country. Most of the countries in Europe are the size of the states in the United States. How many people do you think would be answering more? The middle east is a bit busy tonight, so I doubt they're online.

Bloody marvelous, putting the world to rights ;) It's roasting here in England, I wish somebody would turn the heating down a tad :)
As you must have noticed, the default is for your questions and answers to be worldwide, you have to select if you want to just ask/answer the people specific to a certain country.
and therein lies the beauty, the world is conversing, and people will realize we have the same concerns, hopes, and desires.

Ello.
Roasting here in London town, and bitten by all sorts of insects, just for laughs.
As for the folks across the pond - as I understand it, Answers started out as a US thing, and then slowly, other nations have been added. So you can kinda see why they think that, no?
And how's the day with you?
Cheers

Ah, leave them be..... They have enough problems at home with out having to scoff at the rest of the world to make 'emselves feel better.
What, with their social security in a shambles , low national moral, polluted cities, high unemployment, excessive violence, non existant health insurance, poor education standards...
And a "Leader" affectionately known as DUBYA.
Oooohhhhhhh the list goes on, and on, and on, and..........
Yes, thank you I am having a great day. I dont live there either.
