People are too afraid to have their feelings hurt. And people don't believe in a true right and wrong. They live in shades of Grey.

Politically correct, or right... Can you name one politician who has ever been correct or right about anything ? Judging by the behavior of politicians, in order to be politically correct, one must learn to lie, cheat , steal and commit adultery etc.
So what's the big fuss about being politically correct ?

Because there are so many people whose feelings get hurt at the slightest hurt, that the media, the government, and companies feel that they must cater to everyone. If that means taking the Christ our of Christmas, or changing the Bible to gender neutral language, that's okay by them. It's a matter of being overly sensitive to the slings and arrows everyone has to endure.
