Because they live on opposite poles of the earth. Polar bears are typically restricted to the northern tip in the northern hemisphere, up in the arctic, and penguins are found scattered throughout the southern hemisphere "antarctic". They would just never come in contact with each other, but if they did, penguins would definatly be on the menu! hahaha

Because they don't have hands like us humans and find the wrappers hard to get into.
