Help with buying a new Phone? Serious answers only PLEASE.?

Question

I'd like to buy my son a replacement phone, his girlfriend suggested a Sony Ericsson W550i, I'm looking on Ebay at good second hand ones, but they are still expensive. Is there another similar phone please? He enjoys his music but I don't think he'd be bothered about a camera etc. We're UK based.

He would be using a Pay as you go Sim Card, We can't afford a new phone on a contract.

Thanks for suggestions re Nokia, but they're coming up even MORE expensive.

If he enjoys music then i guess nokia 3250 is better phone than sony ericssons w500i. Nokia has better features as well as a nice 2 megapixel cam!!!! Otherwise try nokia N series its far more better as well as good for rough use. From N series u can select N91 it has 4GB of internal memory as well as extendable memory!!!!!!!! It can be called as ipod phone. wereas nokia 3250 has 512 mb sd card with it. Sony's w500i doesnt have any extendable memory!!!!! Now its ur choice! hope it solves ur problem.

T-mobile are doing some great deals on phones and packages at the mo. Have a look at their new price plan flext. it's brilliant value and i got an n70 (seriously cool phone) free when i signed up. I'm pretty certain the Ericsson's Walkman phone your talking about is available too. Def worth a look!

Well, Sony Ericsson W550i is not a really good stuff because it is easily mal-function.

1: The machine are easily hang suddenly
2: The button "7" is always doesn't work

those telephones are for human beings without hands or people who're too lazy to apply their hands. I choose the previous school telephone, the place you employ your hands to dial the extensive form, use your listening to and voice and concepts to speak on your human beings, kinfolk, colleagues, pizza delivery etc...
