can i have some ideas for sections in the paper? thanks in advance!

Well you'll need enough of everything to get many people interested...
-Main events... like tests, construction, dances, big games, faculty stuff, etc...
-School news... trips, awards, etc...
-Community events or news (not school stuff), can even be current events or world topics with two students commenting on opposing views...
-Sports w/ scores and what not
-Entertainment/ Reviews/ Reading/ Arts and/ or suggetions by readers or yourselves... this is basically your way of telling your readers what's in or what they can do for fun when they need to wind down
-Comics/ Crosswords/ Jokes
-Random question answered by a member of each grade
-Every semester do a contest, like teacher, substitute, and student of the semester... or a drawing contest of sorts... winners get a mid paper spread with pictures and what not... be creative!!!
-If you want to fund your paper, ask local businesses if they'd like to advertise for a small fee... after all, who wouldn't want your business? Try local shops, restaurants, copy shops, coffee or ice creameries... comic or book stores... etc., etc...
-Pictures!!! Don't forget to add pictures... it turns heads!!!
Good Luck!!! And don't forget to ask some of your peers and teachers for input... they will be your readers!!! And, yes, the teachers like something to read while you do work and they have nothing else to do...

News, Commentary, Calendar of upcoming events, cartoons, reader polls, reader stories/poetry, Sports, Clubs, and Class Officer reports.
School papers are great fun! I wish you great success with your new paper! : )
If you're not going to use color photos in your paper, you'll have to use black and white film. (that is, unless you are using your digital cameras). Pictures and cool graphics will really make your newspaper a hit with your classmates.
