Sponsorship is not an easy thing to get unless, you or someone in your family, Dad, etc., own a business, or you know someone who loves racing and will help you out. It takes communication and proof of what you can do on the track, and a lot of your own money. (Letters, performance, etc.) Most Saturday night racers are not in it for the money, usually any pay-outs are put right back into the car, they are in it for the love of it. It is not just a little hobby.

You don't need to win to be sponsored. You can either hire a sports marketing agency to help you find a sponsor, or you can assemble your own sponsorship kit. Finding a sponsor won't be easy, but it can be done. You have to prove to them that giving you money and putting a name on your car will help improve their business. I think the biggest key is talking to anyone and everyone. There is no one best way. Some times an unusual idea can get a sponsor interested. I'm going to guess that there aren't many female race drivers there, so you can go after businesses that guys couldn't or wouldn't.

I have done some work in obtaining sponsors. The first thing you need to do is get yourself together a portfolio with the races you have run, where you placed and pics of yourself and your car. Next you start with phone calls to businesses and go to businesses and present your portfolio to them. You want to dress for business when you meet these people because they want to see a professional representing them and not a person in blue jeans if you understand. Sometimes getting sponsors takes a long time.

You have to demonstrate to them that their business is going to benefit by being on your race car. After all, it has to benefit both sides. Draw up some statistics such as the number of fans that would be watching each race to show the exposure they would be getting.
