Well, she's your best friend, you should be able to get her anything and she should be accepting.
If you really want to get her the BEST gift, think about something she said she liked, something that she thought you would never hear or pick up, like maybe in a random conversation she said "OMG I LOVE cheese" and she would still know that but she would think that you didn't even hear it.
Anyway, you would get her like some cheese, or a book on cheese. (Or something like that, cheese was just an example)

what's the gift for? a birthday or just because? if it's a birthday, then maybe you should make something for her. i once made my best friend a recording of people singing and wishing happy birthday to her. people she knows of course. i thought that was the best present i ever gave anyone.

If you don't, try best friends charm bracelets. It's sweet and friendly. Or maybe a shirt with her favorite rock band, singer, or artist or whatever.
