In yahoo mail there is a box on top of email and subjects that says sender mark that box with a check and then press the delete with mouse pointer that is just above it.

On the top of the tab, with senders,date,etc. Tick on the box that is blank beside sender. Then press the button delete.. Only know this way is faster.. Hope that helps!
