I used to be like you before, but mine was worse cuz I wud stay awake till 6am and sometimes 7am and wake up @ 10 or 11 am, This happened cuz i got used to staying awake during my uni term time and got used to late night reading and internet research and now I'm on summer holidays I still stayed awake until I got a summer job and I managed to align my body system to fall asleep early so I can get up early to work. Now I would advise you don't take any sleeping pills and pain killers whatsoever as they have damaging side effects. best thing to do is make sure your bed is well laid and ur room is comfortable, switch off ur computer, tvs, radio or whatever distracts you to keep u awake, swich off the light and imagine u have to wake up early tomorrow to go somewhere very important and you will find that with time, you will fall asleep. Try doing this regularly and you will get used to sleeping early and also avoid staying up late and doing unnecessary things. best of luck.

4 am til noon is 8 hrs sleep....enough for anyone! Get back up at 6 in the morning and you will be ready for bed by 10 pm! It is just the way you have your body clock set so just re-set it!

You may be a night-person. Myself, I like to go to bed early (usually no later than 11) and rize accordingly. But after a hectic 7-semester period at college (and it was really bad), I have no problem with falling asleep at _any_ time - as long as I have somewhere to lay my head and some time for the purpose.
One thing - if you really want to go to bed earlier... you may try willing yourself to get up early (like 8 a.m.) In that case you will feel sleepy about midnight in no time at all, I think.

maybe it is bcux u have taken too long nap in the afternoon.
or u have drunk coffee b4 going to bed (at least i think u don't know the coffee's influence).
or u have so many things going in ur mind since the day, n u can't stop thinking of them, in this case u should start to forget by trying to concentrate or count ur breath in and breath out, this works most of the time.
If u still can't, the last approach is to take a particular pill. honey.
