toilet paper is made of layers and the dots they use for the design are actually a way for the layers to be kept together. The design is just a way for it to look nice, but its there so that it wont come apart. Sort of the way a bed comforter is put together, why do they have stiching on them? To keep it from moving all over the place on the inside..... so it all stays nice and neat and flat, not all bunched up on one side.

The reason there are designs on toilet paper is because the designs seduce your crap to come out. If you were a peice of poo, would you really want to jump in that water below that all peices of crap have hear about as youngins you or to be hoisted into a blanket with cute animals on it?

I've always wondered that too. I think they should have reading material on toilet paper...it would be so much more entertaining.

Humans are attracted to attractive packaging. Otherwise there'd be no purpose for designs. I mean, it goes in your butt.
