Before WWII there was no recognized country in the region we now call Israel. The land was partially occupied by Palestinians. After WWII the United Nations allowed a formation of Israel along with Zionists Jews. Israel from 1949 spent twenty years in relative peace. Building infrastructure and redeveloping land, the Israeli's created a kind of desert oasis. In the late 60's Israel was attacked by Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon all attacked Israel. Israel defeated them and subsequently gained land with the victory. In the 70's and 80's groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad started with the idea of destroying Israel. They all took a radical view of the situation similar to today's terrorists. These main groups gained notoriety with the hijacking of planes.
Yassar Arafat and the PLO started the infatada which was an organized armed struggle to hurt Israel which lasted till Arafat's death.
Israel has given back most the land it won during the war, plus until recently has been working on a two state solution for the Palestinians.
It is the extremists that don't want peace. They want Israel to die. They need to be stopped. Hoped this helped.

regarding Palestine Israel is considered as there enemy cause Palestinians believe that the Kudos is for them Hezbollah had kidnapped two Israeli shoulders this is the main reason that started the war Hezbollah did this situation before and Hezbollah’s territory is the janoub Israel was in Lebanon before if u look at history(Lebanons war) this situation is repeating it self it happened before and it will happen again
