No, you are not the only one. I know exactly how you feel. Anymore, I have come up with my own sort of dating resource if you'll call it that. I ask these things up front. Yes some may say that it is too forward but if that person is on the same page as I am they won't mind and they will understand exactly where I'm coming from and where my line of questioning is heading. that way I don't waste my time they don't waste theirs. 1. Are you saved, 2. Do you attend church, 3. Do have a job, 4. Highest level of education, 5. Ever been married, 6. Any children (do you even like kids) 7. Do you have your own residence, 8. Do you have a car, 9. Ever been arrested........ hey the way I see let's just cut to the chase. If they aren't looking for a long term commitment or a life partner or even marriage material, why are we wasting each others time. we have to own a part in this too are we ready to settle down or are we still trying to find a fixer upper or settling for a he'll changer what do we want. I was on the singles scene and felt the same way tired of meet , date , break etc. I came up with this strategy and weeded out the less desirable and I think I've come up with a keeper.
Good luck

that sounds about right, but don't give up! when i feel like that i take some time off. maybe you want to get back in the game and maybe you don't but a break is definitely good! i have a lot of guy friends and they sometimes feel the same way a lot and i think knowing that helps.

Let me make a guess. Sex comes in on your list almost immediately after "Girl meets guy." Right? If you can take that out of your list, take it out of the equation---I guarantee your dating experiences will be a lot more accurate. You can be more honest. You can be more focused on each other's life goals, focus on who you already are already, and not what you think you have to change into to make someone else happy.
