well bluetigerk3 sums up my thinking also. I don't know if the entire story will ever be known. Lets face it, if he did say something transcending acceptable trash talk, he is not going to admit it. Zidane if he were less honourable could have gone along with the gossip and rumours and said yes he called me a terrorist etc, but he did not and for that he deserves credit.Yes ZZ has some nasties in his past but so does Matterazzi. You know I fail to see the difference between Zidanes headbutt and De Rossi's behaviour against the American player. Granted De Rossi did serve a four match suspension, however it was all forgiven and forgotten and now he is celebrated as a hero, but Zidane fans are constantly being told it is unforgivable, and and he is no hero and it cannot be accepted. Shame the same is not thought re De Rossi. I find that a tad hypocritical.

He probably made fun of Zidane for missing a earlier goal and some how involved Zidane's mother in the joke. Big deal! Every athlete trash talks about a opponents mom or sister! If Zidane is so great he should of scored a goal and got the last laugh. That would of effected Materazzi more then a dumb headbutt!

Why Zidane must be a perfect person, I think he's a lower. He lost the champion and the last performance for his stupid behavior, so lower is lower, he is not a saint!

It had to have beeen something much more than just a casual curse. Zenedine Zidane who retired, only to come back for one more shot at the World Cup Finals and finally to get there but getting yourself ejected...wow. It must've been something serious and something about his family. I mean it's your last soccer game ever as a legend and something provokes you to get yourself ejected...it's something seriously bad.

materrazi tols something personal about zidane's mother and his sister.........so he was angry and head-butted materrazi.................it is also zidane's fault because he was not suppost to do rough stuff on the field........zidane is also a mentally sick patient.........so it's both their fault....
