Bergkamp, Hasselbaink, Overmars, Muhren, Van Nistelrooij, Thijssen, Kluivert, Zondervan, De Zeeuw, Van Der Sar, etc. etc. etc. (I don't mean to limit your answer to the above list). With Premiership I mean the highest English division, also from way back.

I meant only players that actually played in Engalnd in the highest league. Van Basten and Koeman and Cruijff are of course excellent players but never played for an English club.

You can pick whoever you like you do not have to stick to my list, they're just examples.

DENNIS BERGKAMP!!!

"If Ryan Giggs is worth £20 million, Bergkamp is worth £100 million."
Marco van Basten

"enn doelpunt van een andrer planeet (It's a goal from another planet)."
Louis Van Gaal, former Ajax coach, describing one of Bergkamp's lobs

"Can you not say he is the best player in the world right now? If there is a better one, then I have not seen him."
Wenger speaking at the start of the 1997/98 campaign

"If he were in 'Star Trek', he'd be the best player in whatever solar system he was in."
Bergkamp's former Arsenal strike partner, Ian Wright, speaking in 1997

"I have always said Dennis Bergkamp will remain the best partner I have ever had. He is a dream for a striker. He is not greedy — you saw that on the second goal [against West Brom on Saturday]. He could have just gone for glory because it was Dennis Bergkamp Day — but no. He dummied the goalkeeper, cut the ball back for Robert Pires who put it in the back of the net. The most important thing is the team. That is why I admire Dennis, and that is what he has been doing for a long time. I have always said he is the best guy that I have played with. Sometimes you have players who do not have to talk, you just have to watch them — and that is the case with Dennis. If you are in the game, on the bench or watching on TV, you want to learn then Dennis Bergkamp, with the way he can kill a team with one pass, is just amazing. He will sometimes do things out of nowhere."
Thierry Henry

"Nobody will ever forget Dennis Bergkamp - and everybody who will play in this position for years to come will be compared to Dennis Bergkamp. As much as Thierry Henry is a top target striker, Dennis Bergkamp as a provider was unique."
Wenger, once again

"Bergkamp. He had the finest technique [of all Dutch players]." Jan Mulder, Guus Hiddink

The best ever Dutch players are Marco Van Basten and Dennis Bergkamp. They are really close, they are at the top of the second tier of great football players, only behing Pele, Maradona. They are up there with players like Zidane. They both score great goals particularly when their team needs them the most. I can't separate Van Basten and Bergkamp, they are amazing.

Bergkamp for all the brilliant stuff he's done over the years at Arsenal. Special mention to Muhren and Thijssen for being the pioneers in the English top flight.

It has to be Dennis Bergkamp. Not only the best dutch player in the premiership, but one of its best ever imports. He had more ball control, more awareness and more goalscoring instinct than anybody in the league when he was at his peak, and he's provided list-compilers with some of the most brilliant goals.
Van Der Sar and Van Nistlerooy have been great for most of the time too, Kluivert was a huge disappointment.

Who said Jordi Cruyff????

you missed Pierre Van Hoidonk from your list too.

No Bergkamp is probably the best Dutchman to have played in the premiership and I don't even support Arsenal. V.Nistelroy scores goals, but Bergkamp was a true playmaker at the height of his talent
