whenever my boyfriend drinks i stay clear. He flips out for no reason

Alcohol causes one to lose inhibitions of all kinds. So, under normal circumstances, they may think a 'civilized person' won't express anger or be violent, but they will forget about this when drunk and if they're angry, the content of their heart will simply come out.

When people drink, they relax and feel good but they don't know how much they make their family and friends suffer. They always tend to be violent and angry especially if we don't agree with them when they are drunk. Then they will talk loudly and maybe beat their wife and children. If we annoy them when they are drunk, it will finish badly.
When they drink, they lose control of themselves and they do wrong and bad things. A drunk guy won't hesitate to beat you even if you're his daughter or wife. He will not care about who you are , he will do the first thing that passes in his mind.
Sorry if I've hurt , but that's the way I think and it's very difficult to live with a drunk and violent guy.

I think it's because they are hurting on the inside. So much anger built up on the inside. Usually these kind of people are really good people when they are sober but when they are drunk all their anger is released.
But their is some who aren't angery drunks and are control freaks and like to feel powerful and they get a rush off someone elses fear. Either way they need serious help.

Because when they drink they do not know that drinking is a depressant. So if that person is having some type of problem they souldn't drink

the best i can tell is that they have some hiden things that come out when thre brain goes numb. my brother inlaw was always mean when drunk. he was unhappy with his life but never remembered it in the morning

alcohol is a depressant......and when ppl hold back thier feelings or harbor negative feelings toward another person.....the state of mind that alcohol induces or places you in seems to bring this all out,......no matter whos around or where they are.....i saw a shirt once that said "INSTANT A**hole, just add beer".......boy isnt that the truth.

some people do and some people don't...
usually people who "hide" the things they feel become mean drunks...lower inhibitions allow those feelings that have buried to surface and it's usually pretty ugly.
some people sing and get happy...
