No

Nuclear weapons will be used in conflicts over the next five to hundred years, but there will never be an all out war with hundreds or thousands of weapons used.

That time has thankfully passed.

Thank you President Reagan.

IF the planet's reaction to our destruction of it don't do it then i'm sure that it is inevitable now so many nutters have access to nuke's-Iran said what it would do-wipe Usrael of the map, then Korea's at it -if the present trouble backed Israel into a corner they are vastly outnumbered and will use theirs-this war has been going on over 2000yrs it's just the weapon's are more lethal now-it's strange how it's all falling onto place and filling all predictions-sad but true.ktf.x

I think we will, if countries like Iran and North Korea are allowed to develop nuclear weapons then u can be sure they will use it. If Bin Laden has a nuclear bomb, he wouldn't waste his time time using passenger jets as missiles, if Hezbolla had nuclear bombs, they might also use it. Sadly its just a matter of time b4 these irresponsible countries and radicals acquire these weapons, most of them are already in the process doing that, we have to thank the US for check mating them so far, and they should do their best (including military strike) to prevent Iran and North Korea from getting these weapons.
i strongly believe that in the next 10-20 years the world will wake up to the realisation that a part USA or ISrael has been hit with nuclear bombs and of course what is left of America will retaliate

Unless all heads of state, and I mean All, get together to discuss this issue, we can expect some wannabe trying his luck with his first nuclear weapon, and then a BIG response by those with the arsenal in waiting.

No meeting...could be within the next three years.

Sorry Nukes are antiques! WE have MOABs! Nuke size blast but NO radiation. They're 22,000lb conventional bombs.

WE also have Tomahawks with fuel-air explosive war heads. They can carry 10 war heads and burn an entire city!

First the MOAB, followed 10seconds later by a Tomahawk, and there is NO way to survive. The entire city is flattened and then burned with fuel-air explosive!

i guess inter-countries' political terms are always unstable..though maybe we get more cautious by the day. i'm thinking no, we won't see a nuclear war in our lifetime(and i hav a long way to go in mine..unless i get hit by a car or something ~touch wood~) the consequences are just not worth it...and most people are aware of that.

nothing is impossible though.

A nuclear war would mean the end of civilization as we know it, and possibly the end of all life on earth. One tablespoon of plutonium spread evenly over the Earth would, in theory, kill everything. Everything would die, so, all the trees would remain standing, all the bodies would lie where they fell and not deteriorate, because EVERYTHING would be dead. The bacteria, the microbes, everything.

Our creator will not allow that to happen.
