No I don't think the Padres should trade Jake Peavy. He is a big part of their rotation and they can still win the NL West. The Yankees could benefit if they made the trade you stated

Jakes having a tough year, but i wouldnt trade him if i was the padres. Hes still really young. Good deal for the yankees though.

by using shopping for and promoting away their megastar pitcher, no longer on July 31, yet before the season starts, the Padres are telling followers no longer to bother coming to Petco in 2009, it will be yet another dropping year.
