Hi, am going with family for a holiday to Mauritius. The recent earthquake and Tsunami in indonesia has scared me as it rose from the indian ocean, hence wanted to check if Mauritius lies in a safe zone.

It is not a Tsunami prone area. So for there had been no Tsunamis.

Mauritius barely felt the massive tsunami. there are never earthquakes so its a safe zone. though it does occasionaly have light cyclones in december/jan time but is not much of a worry

no. ilive in Mauritius and i can assure u that it didnt effect mauritius.. come and enjoy the sun here!!!

Do be careful of any cyclones around that region of the world.
