remember when the guy on that show killed himself? How'd they explain his death on the show? Also. How did they explain Phil Hartmans death on News Radio? P. S. wasn't that show awesome? News Radio. Not Sudenly Susan. That show was sooo predictable.

On Suddenly Susan, his character simply did not show up for work and when Susan tried to call him, the cell phone in his desk rang. The then intercut the episode with members of the cast fondly remembering the actor.

As for NewsRadio Phil Hartman's character was written out by a heart attack, and then the series picked up shortly after the memorial service for his character. Of couse, Hartman's death was the beginning of the end of NewsRadio (which was "on the bubble" before).

Not sure about Suddenly Susan, but on Newsradio they had Hartman's character, Bill McNeill, die of a heart attack.
