When someone's sh|t starts to stink, I am never hesitant to cut them out of my life. Why is that? Is that a bad thing? Usually I reach this point when I can't trust them anymore.

Randyrich, I think you just gave me a new insight into how I should live my life ---"I pick my friends, they don't pick me". Well said!!

You are right to do it. I've been doing it for years. It only takes a few times and you should know the difference between real friends and those that just use you. In my past experience, more women did me wrong than guy friends. Personally speaking, I pick my friends, they don't pick me.

I wish I had been better at that kind of thing when I was younger. I would have ditched a lot of people a lot sooner than I did. Now, I don't care so much, and drop them if they are detrimental to my life.
On the other hand, it may be harder to develop long lasting relationships. I mean it's not likely you are going to find someone who doesn't piss you off every once in a while. But if you can't trust them like you say, then who needs them?
I don't think you're self centered. I think you're independent.
Good, bad. Who cares? It's your life, you live it.

To tell you the truth no, its not a bad thing. Your traits and personal thinking allows you to know when enough is enough. That is the kind of thinking a leader shows. The fact that you believe in cutting off the unnessecary fat shows that you know what you want and what you expect from yourself and other also. You should be proud of that because that is a trait most people wished they had. You show the personality of a leader and someone who wont take no mess from anyone.

Sometimes people need to be cut but don't cut people who could be forgiven. Only cut those who continue to do you harm after they are forgiven and those who have done extreem things. For example; don't cut a one time cheating partner if he/she repents. Cheating is normal and forgivable once. Cut somone who beats you the first time they beat your or someone else (before they beat you).
