If the bill was $50, then I wouldn't leave much more than a $1 tip. I don't have much money, so I probably wouldn't spend $50 just to eat out. That is what McDonalds is for. You can eat there for $1 and you don't have to tip anyone.

I will usually tip 20% ($10 in this case) for excellent service. If it was really outstanding, I might throw in a dollar or two more. If service is OK, I'll sometimes do 10 or 15%. If it's lousy, I always leave a Canadian penny. That way nobody thinks I forgot to tip -- they know how I felt about the service.

it quite receives me even as human beings inspect assistance as an "better." like look, gee, the meal is already so extreme priced, so i quite can't tip 15%-20% on accurate of that. the end should be some thing you ingredient into the price of the meal each and each and every time you sit down at a cafe. those each and every individual is paid lower than the mininum salary legally because they're envisioned to %. up a particular quantity in assistance. in case you don't like it, do not devour in a cafe with table provider. in case you could't arise with the money for the "better" than do not order an appetizer or beverages so that you've adequate to go away an sufficient tip. and likely, lots of those who're in the different case beneficiant do not evaluate that if any area of the meal is comped or discounted, than the server ought to nevertheless receive his share on the unique value of the products. i am going to't imagine a challenge the position i doesn't tip. perchance if the waiter threw foodstuff in my face and obdurate me out. poor provider receives 10%, sufficient 15%-20%, good to massive over 20% and those large diner waiters and waitresses i do not quite imagine about percents even as the tab is so small - i propose like if it truly is a $6.17 meal i'd go away a $10 bill on the table.

Up to $10, which is 20 %. Tips should range between 15-20%, generally, as long as they don't fall below $1.
