Evil

Defining Good and Evil is not a simple task, and getting it wrong means either punishing the good or rewarding the evil, both furthering evil. As humanity is only effective as a group, the judgement of good or evil must be the recognition of what is good and what is bad for the group. Hence:

Good is that which improves the community.
Evil is that which weakens the community.

But knowing which is which is a difficult task and can only be resolved by wisdom.
Wisdom Is The Ability To Distinguish Good From Evil
The ability to decide what is good and what is evil, is the function of an understanding. The better the understanding, the greater its ability to recognise right from wrong, and the more wise it is. So wisdom can be defined as the ability to distinguish good from evil.

best of luck is attaining wisdom so as to be able to choose either

everything is relative, infanticide (killing babies) is evil, yet if you look at some cultures it is not evil, it is a necessity. For instance some tribes in history used to kill babies when they were travelling to new settlements for the winter, and although this is harsh by our standards where we put women and babies first, they had to kill the babies (for food) because the men and adults were needed in order to survive. War can be seen as both good and evil, on the one hand they can be viewed as destroying the oppression in other countries, yet they are still killing people. murder can be seen as evil, but does perception of evil change when you realise that a person murdered a hostage taker as he was about to blow up a whole room of hostages. nothing in this life is black and white, so clearly defined, there are shades of grey that depend on the surrounding circumstances and your perception.

I think that it is too hard to make a distinction between the two as there is such a fine line on what is exactly good and then what is evil. So I can't pick because we don't actually have a logical explanation for either.

I prefer GOOD than evil. Just think of everything, what will happened if good conquers or evil conquers.
