You cant please all of the people all of the time, the best you can hope for is to please all of the people some of the time, or some of the people all of the time. a point of interest, when you have children some suggest that you should never call a child 'bad' you should say their act/ behaviour is 'bad' otherwise they could internalise this 'badness' into thier self identity. you are not even doing a bad act, you are failing to do a good act, and sometimes this is a necessity. am i a bad person for not going to help the homeless at christmas or any other time of the year? (not doing a good thing). if you are not doing a good act, then there is obviously a valid reason in your eyes and you are the one that has to live your life. people make sacrifices, its part of life, but we are all entitled to a little selfishness and self indulgence, life would be unbearable otherwise. dont beat ya self up, there is enough people out there that are more than willing to do it for you :-)

Sometimes in life we fall off the 'track' if you like- we know what we need to be doing and still some other option presents itself as the better option. This is nothing to be ashamed of, we all do it at some time. The important thing to remember is it is never too late to do the right thing, the good thing. I also agree that sometimes we need to go with our feeling even if it means someone else not being satisfied with our behaviour. However if you are intentionally setting out knowing that you are going to hurt someone, it is probably better that you try(as quickly as you can) to start doing good.

Reckon we are all capable of doing "bad things" - Thats just being human - I think what makes us bad would be if we do that and don't care, or keep doing the same bad thing.
So from what you say (your concern) over it I would say "no you are not a bad person". Though its easy to say, feeling guilty wont actually help, go out and do something better today, now, and make yourself a better person and the world a better place.

Hopefully you won't do it again?, at least you'll learn from this mistake... try not to get into this situation again?
But you seem to care that you are hurting others no matter that you are probably convinced that this course of action is right for you... if you didn't care that might make you a less good person....

Scant knowledge here for me to judge you upon really, don't you think?
I suggest you try to take a step back and analyse the situation from a distance, think about the people concerned, the consequences of action or non-action, and what your feelings are about such consequences. Hope it works out x

Ahhhh.
The classic inner struggle.
All have dealt with it; some decide that they come first no matter what. The result is that they are not a good person.
You care enough to ask, but you already know the answer.
Do unto others what you would have them do unto you.
Peace.

I don't know. I don't know you. To me bad and good are just words.
I don't know the situation, so I can't give you any advice. I don't know the people who are being hurt, nor do I know if it's your fault or thiers. If you gave some information, I could help a little if you like.

Having such a brilliant command of the English language, i cant see how anyone could think of you as a bad person.
I doubt if anyone has the faintest idea what you are talking about

you must be hurting yourself if it is hurting others. the others must love you very much if it is hurting them. ask them how to stop and then do so immediately. sin is missing the mark. a target has a mark to hit and we miss it. most addictions are hard to break. get some help and make a committment to help yourself, love yourself and return the love that others have for you. you can do it if you want to do it.
