I would like a shower room with a skylight.

A whole home computer system that allowed for everything from security, to temperature control, to having the fridge tell me that I am out of milk.
Totally different things I know but I am obsessed with bathrooms. They are my favorite room in the house to decorate.
That secret room thing is also a wicked idea! Like a secret library.

Everything would be special! It would work with the environment becoming an integral part of the environment. It would have catchment systems utilizing rain, it would have windmill blades to keep water in the cistern churning while generating electricity. It would have a pool for swimming, that is important, and separate toilets & sinks for all inhabitants. Multiple kitchens and a tower are a must as well as an herb garden and catwalks for the cats. It would be a fantastic place.

I would want my home to have an ocean front view in Hawaii, where I could see the waves from inside the house. There would be a wall that would have glass doors that would slide all the way to the side to open up the house to the outdoors and welcome the soft, moist breeze filled with the scent of tropical flowers. Step outside to enjoy the lanai and take just a few short steps to the beach. Aaaahhhhhh!!!

Definitely a large very private bathroom in a master bedroom suite. I hate going to someone's home and having to use a bathroom that is right off the living room. The more private the better--as long as it is still inside the house :-)

We did build our own house. We should have built the bedrooms bigger. I would build a conservatory if we did it again. Somewhere we could sit amongst the plants and have meals.
