Since you have both XP and 2000 running (successfully, I assume) then it's likely that your hard drive is already partitioned.

(you can uninstall XP from the Add/Remove Programs panel only if you upgraded from an earlier version of Windows)

Uninstalling Windows XP is rather simple.

Boot into Windows 2000. Go to "My Computer" and right click on
the drive with Windows XP. Click "Format" and click "Start". Press OK if any confirmation boxes come up. Once the format is complete (it may take some time), reboot into Windows 2000. Click Start->Run and type C:\boot.ini and press enter. Find the line that refers to Windows XP (something like this:

multi(0)disk(1)rdisk( 0)partition(2) \WINNT="Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

)and delete it. Save the file.

Reboot.

How to remove Windows XP
To remove Windows XP, follow these steps:1. Restart your computer in Safe mode. To do this, press the F8 key while Windows is starting.
2. Log on with an account that has administrative credentials.
3. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.
4. In the list of installed programs, double-click Uninstall Windows XP.

Note If Uninstall Windows XP is not in the list of installed programs, you must manually reinstall Windows 98 or Windows Millennium Edition. In this case, make sure that you back up all your critical data before you reinstall Windows 98 or Windows Millennium Edition.
5. When you receive the following message, click Yes to start the Windows XP removal:
Are you sure you want to uninstall Windows XP and restore your previous operating system?
6. After Windows XP is removed, your computer restarts to the previously-installed operating system.

Partition Magic. Download free trial version.

It sounds to me like you are trying to do quite a bit for your experience level. But if you research, and take it slow you might be able to pull this off. Partition Magic can do all of the things you want, partition your HDD, remove a partition, when you remove a partition with an operating system on it, you remove the operating system also. You can also restore your HDD to one partition, or create multiple partitions. Warning!!! Partition Magic can be your best friend, or your worst nightmare if used improperly.

Your best bet is just to reformat your entire hard drive, using the install disk of the operating system of your choice. Create one new partition (the size of the entire hard drive) and just follow the install screen prompts. Remember when the operating system is reinstalled completely, you are far from finished. You will need to reinstall many of your device drivers. Starting with the chipset drivers, then video driver, audio driver. Then there will be quite a few updates you will need to download and install. If you are not familiar with most of this stuff, or this sounds like a bit much, then dont do it without help from someone with a little more experience. Good luck.

If that is a controversy. in the different case, in case your XP cd is bootable, then be sure the equipment is carefully grew to develop into off, and the cd is interior the cd force. turn on the equipment, even as it asks what you go with besides from, go with cd. in the course of the setup you'd be requested in case you go with to format the force, and/or upload/del/erase walls. be sure you delete the present partition, and create a sparkling one, making use of optimal volume of area allowed, and installation XP. good success.

Buy a good program like Partition Magic. Trying things on your own will probably wind up getting your hard drive wiped.

First, go to start, (settings) control panel, click on add/remove programs, choose which browser you wish to remove and highlight and click remove. Remember to empty recycle bin.

Second, why do you want to partition?
