I keep hearing refrences to both Tom Cruise and Jesus/God in the same sentence, and I really dont get it. Example: Preview for new Will Farrell movie Talleiga Nights (sp?) where hes running screaming save me Jesus, save me Tom Cruise. And I also heard a similar refrence on the Colbert Report. I am really missing something. I'm not real into Tom Cruise, but these refrences are plaguing me, and my bf. Does anyone know what they are talking about!!!

There are many references to Tom Cruise in the bible. See both Exodus and Revelations for characters who resemble him it appearance and behavior.
Many believe that just seeing Tom Cruise can have a mind altering experience.
It seems likely that Tom, as I like to call him, has some personal ambiguity about whether he or Christ will have more lasting effect upon humanity.

It's just that he takes himself so seriously and so smugly disses anyone who disagrees with him - Are you depressed?
