Paternity is proven through blood tests. If the suspected father is not cooperative, the court (you have to take the matter to court first of course) can issue an order that he provide a sample of his blood. From that, it can be determined if he is the father or he is not the father.

There are paternity tests out there,but I hear they are expensive.
You could probably get a freebie if you go on Maury with your problem, I mean if you don't mind the public humiliation factor.
