PALL stands for palladium. It most likely means that the ring is not solid but gold coated palladium, or if it's white gold it's an alloy of gold and palladium.

Pall is an abbreviation for Palladium. Palladium is a precious metal from the Platinum group. It is used as an alloy to make white gold. It is also used in dentistry and electronics (among other things). Palladium is a less expensive metal to use than Platinum.

The "PALL" means it's also made with palladium. Based on the first link below, my guess is that the gold was alloyed with the palladium to make it 18k white gold. It's a more valuable white gold; less expensive 18k white gold would be made with with silver or nickel (and nickel can cause allergic reactions in some people). In short, it's good. :)

I also have an 18carat gold ring with pall fia engraved inside band. My ring also has 3 tiny diamonds set in, what could be palladium. These are the only marks. My ring is worn as an eternity ring but may have been a wedding ring. any comments welcome

I saw this a few times when I worked for eBay. We never could figure it out... it's either a manufacturer who has since disappeared, or it indicates a particular type of alloy. We never could get a straight answer on this one, but I saw it a few times.
