I have very small red acne-like bumps on my arms. It makes my skin look and feel rough. I don't know if it is ingrown hair or clogged pores. It is not itchy or anything. It looks more like goose-bumps. Help please if you know anything that would help my skin smoother.

I may suggest a water softener for your home... it allows for the soap the be used more effectively & elimnates certain pore clogging elements comenly found in basic tap water.
Be warned though... the change in how the water 'feels' takes a bit of getting used to.

I know exactly what tour talkin about my sister had these little bumps on the side of her arm. I dont think exfoliating will help but you should go see a dermotologist if it really bothers you. The bumps that my sister had did go away on its own but it took a while.

the trick for clearer and smoother skin are:

1.) you drink lots of water.... and i mean lots of water
2.) you should have at least 8 hours sleep daily.
3.) put lotion on your skin every 2-3 hours... or when you feel like it.

A friend of mine and a friend of my mum have the same problem. They have to use dye and fragrance free soap and use it very sparingly and rinse like mad when they are in the shower. It will reduce the appearance of the spots but it won't get rid of them completely.

LMAO...I know exactly what you're talking about. I've had it all my life. Buy a very good moisturizing body wash, and then use clean and clear moisturizer everyday. It helps a whole lot.

And lotion when you think about it.
