Get a new hair style, appropriate to your shaped face, color your hair lighter or darker, work out and walk a lot, get new, good makeup - use it appropriately, dress trendy - but in what looks good on you.

Supermans answer is absolutely spot on ! I am 53 and can attest that lifting weights makes me look years younger. It gives a person great posture and muscle burns fat faster. Never listen to those uneducated people that say lifting weights turns fat into muscle and when one stops lifting the muscle turns to fat. Fat is Fat and Muscle is Muscle. They do not magically change into one another. When one lifts weights the fat burns faster and is replaced with muscle. Lifting weights is the only way to truly shape your body. You can do all the arobics one wants but you will never get that much wanted sculpted body without lifting weights. A word of warning though, do not weigh yourself when you are first starting out. You WILL weigh more, however, ignore that fact. Muscle weighs more than fat and that is the reason. It is the inches that will drop off your body that is the true tell-tale sign that your workout is working. It's a cheap, easy to do at home way to look good. If you don't have money for weights then use cans of soup, etc from your cupboard. Also look for weight training videos at your local department store. Good luck and try it. You will love the results. Also take a before and after photo! You will marvel at the results!

Take up weight lifting. I'm a 51 almost 52 y/o male and girls think I'm 35-36. I just read an article about a 52 y/o woman who took up weight lifting. She had tried many diets and none had worked by themselves.

She has lost 50lbs, she sleeps better, is stronger, and she is cutting her diabetes medications. She said she is going to keep wieght lifting to get to the weight she wants to be.

She said her husband says she looks 10 yrs younger. She loves her wieght lifting sessions and misses them when she can't do them. She has gone from 250lbs down to 199 and she's looking to being 135lbs.

Weight lifting rehabed me from being so badly burned at 12 in 1966 that I should have died. I now weigh 245lbs, have 18" arms. 26" legs, a 50" chest and I have super health! Weight lifting took me from being a cripple to a huge giant of a guy in 3 years. I did do real hard work outs with heavy weights after starting with light weights from being a cripple.

Women want to be long, lean. strong, and well toned. Do weight lifting with light weights, you will not get big manly looking muscles. You get to be long, lean, strong, and toned. You will look younger, be stronger, healthy, and a match for most guys who don't weight lift.

It only takes 30 minutes to get a good work out. The library will have books that will give you a good work out for women. The wieghts only cost $40, on sale you get them for $20, and you can get them at KMart, Sears ect. Get a 40lb dumb bell set, that will give 2 adjustable dumb bells. They can range in weight from 4lbs to 20lbs each.

Start slow with the 4lb bars with no weights and work up to useing 20lbs with all weight plates. You will get to being long, lean, strong, and well toned without having big muscles and guys will be all over you. We guys like long, lean, strong, well toned women. THEY ARE HOT!
