because negative comes first, when talking of human perspectives.
if you look at our final destiny (as alive people) you see that we re all bound to death. What more negative than this, in terms..of ...perpectives of life?
All the positive aspects of life and thinking are the logical reaction of an alive individual to that very hopeless point.

Low self esteem and lack of confidence will most like elicit such thoughts in your mind. Because you are predisposed to think you are not good enough to be able to do it.

That is why meditation is so important. To eliminate all those thoughts that come to mind saying:
You are not good enough, you will blow it, you will not succeed, you are a loser, nothing you do will never come to any good, you are getting physically sick, ect....
So...when one comes say in your mind as soon as it tries to enter your thoughts:
Cancel-Cancel.
I have learned to do this, and it works. Cancel-Cancel the negative thoughts and replace them with these:
I am smart, I am intelligent, I love myself, I am confident, I am worthy of love, God loves me, I can forgive myself, I am a winner, I work best when things are going tough. I am confident!
When you replace the broken record of what others in your past have told you with voices of love and confidence, then you break the cycle and start living the life you were born to live.
Remember...when anything bad enters your mind....say:
Cancel-Cancel!

The answer is that you are risk adverse. You don't like to take chances. So you question your limitations first before you act. Some don't and are lucky in the outcome. Some don't and fail miserably. You do and if you fail you at least try not to make a spectacle of yourself in the process.

Wow, I've dealt with this many times before in my life. It can be the way we were brought up when it comes to experiencing changes, but mostly it's a human reaction to the unknown. With so much focus and attention on the things we know for so long and kept doing for so long as well, it can be hard to accept new challenges.

Because no one ever told you that you could. To fail only means you have to try alittle harder. No one is perfect and no one gets everything right all the time. It is no big deal to screw up the first time around as long as you learn where you went wrong and try again the right way. Thats why we have the word oops! Do you think the people who ice skate have never fallen? They fall all the time and get right back up and try again.

We are programed from birth, family, school, the govenment. If we are told often enough to feel fear we will. If we are told we are not good enough, well then in our minds we become not good enough. Check out the movie What The Bleed Do We Know?

first being prudent,
faliure gives way to being over prudent,
then lack of confidence.
Then further failure brings lack of self esteem
and then down right certainty of faliure so much so that you stop putting an effort.
Beginning with I can wrestle with a coconut tree gives way to
Why do it when you are going to fail anyway?
It is all a state of mind.
