Did anyone see the recent BBC version of Bleak House with Gilian Anserson?

It's great; weird; wonderfully acted. But I have two questions:
(a) Do you think Dickens is really that spooky, or is this version influenced by the X-Files?
(b) what in the world is going on?

Yes. And thoroughly enjoyed it. Dickens was really that spooky so I do not think it was influenced at all by X-Files.

It is very true to Dickens novel. His personal life greatly influenced his writings.

Its a strange, strange world after all.
