Scenario- You realize you've spent a terrific amount of time trying to mimic other people. Not specifically, but what seems to make them fit in. When one day you realize this is why you're so stupid. Literally. You believe you're incapable of something as simple as math and perpetuate the idea by being with people who really are too dumb for math. Thus you choose not to be better than said person, cause it would mean a change in status. It would also mean acknowledging what they are. Ya with me?

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough to understand. I'll have to work on that......

Wow, I've been seriously told. Thank you all for your kind assesments. I could very well be narcissistic. I'm sure I'm nothing more than ordinary. Sounds like some took this personally. It was just a question. Oh, I think I may be schizophrenic. So, sorry about the muddled wording. For the record, I did ride on the long bus. Maybe I just caught the wrong one........

erm, not really. I got lost in "you choose not to be better than said person" and "would also mean acknowledging what they are".

Other than that, you are pissed off at some people. And you want to rant. But if you could write clearer, then people could understand your problem better. Right?

And I agree. Some friends are plain dumb. Posers focusing on the wrong things. Seems cool at that moment in time but no advantage whatsoever for future benefits.

Leave them. Stupidity could be infectious.

Let's see---do you walk to school or carry your lunch?

What's the difference between a horse?

I hesitate to articulate in elaboration for fear of deviating too far from the true course of rectitude.

In other words, your narcissism is causing you some problems and you're not quite certain how to eliminate most of the humans with whom you must relate in the day. Sorry, but unless one can keep Stephen Hawking enthralled in a "discussion" on black holes, quantum physics, or writing multiple novels containing exactly the same information, I would say you're pretty "ordinary."

One who is highly intelligent knows that greater knowledge is attained by sharing information with others, even with those who may be of lesser intelligence.

Suffice it to say, if you are "blending in" with those of lesser intelligence, then you are neither sharing, nor accepting knowledge of any kind. You are merely mimicking someone in a coma. Congratulations.

Sure...so why are you afraid of finding smarter friends? You become the people you hang out with, so be careful of who those people are.

I know, I hung out with drug addicts and almost became one myself. I had to leave them to find my own sanity and for my own good. Eventually the group disbanded one died of an overdose and the other cannot function without drugs and is a prostitute to support her habit. They had children and were born mentally challenged. They had children to support the drug habit, govt welfare.

This World is tough, and only getting worse. You need all the advantages you were born with. My economics professor said that he had friends that were not as smart as he was, so what he did was make new friends in college that was smarter than he was.

When he finally got his doctorate, he got back into contact with his old friends, but found out that he no longer had much in common with them.

You only have this live, right now. Make it the best one possible. Would you want to be the smartest person in your group of friends and play dumb, or dumb in your group of smart friends?

The choice is yours. Oh, King of Fools~

hi,
get in contact with me!
yes its the status!
a cow is a cow,
an Eagle is an Eagle,
and one is stupid!
the other has eyes!
as it seems!
that what you find is not for the stupid!
you may shout it out,the stupid wont understand anyway,
and the intelligent are rare!
thats why intelligence is the slave of stupids!
thats why intelligent people serve the stupid mass!
and the more intelligent become bank robbers!
wau...its good to know that i,m just intelligent!
a cow wants to stay a cow,
an Eagle an Eagle!
thats why the stupid cow defents himself with invented guns!
and eats the grass who wants to stay grass too!
but he doesnt eat the eagle eventhough he kills him!
because cows dont eat flesh!
they know that the Eagle is superior!

No, that's ridiculous. What about people born with learning disabilities that prevent them from understanding the concept of mathematics?

Yeah,I know what you mean, but I never did that.I've always been my own person and to hell with other people if they thought I didn't fit the "mold" they tried to put me in.

I can't help you with what you feel about yourself. However, it might not be prudent to assume everyone would agree with you since we are all unique and have our own unique life experiences, opinions and beliefs.
