Hi I am taking Flucloxacillin sodium Ca for an infected finger. Does anyone know if I can drink alcohol on these antibiotics? The Doc only mentioned that it might effect the pill. I'm pretty sure antibiotics used to come with a warning not to drink, but these ones havn't got anything like that written on them.

Serious answers only please.

You see it is not that it your antibiotics won't work.Yes it will but if you won't help also your body to heal fast..you are hindering the antibiotic to have its maximum effect. Antibiotics have to be taken for seven days every 8hours..so just follow that and be good to your body. You have an infection to treat now..you can have drinking later on.

most antibiotics they recommend not to drink. as long as you are not drinking too much. one or two should be fine. if you are not meant to drink any alcohol with a particular medication the doctor as well as the pharmacist will let you know. and those antibiotics will come with a warning sticker

I don't think one or two drinks will hurt, just don't drink a lot.
