if you are only being emotional it is neither good or bad. It is just an expression of thought and feelings.
It is the action accompanying it that can be good or bad.

You can be sympathetic to a 3 year old crying.
But cry with her and she will cry even more....

If you are angry at somebody, you can show your anger with some strong words and still smile. It is ok.
But if you pour your hot cup of coffee on his head (do not laff), then it seems to be err ..... bad ... and hazardous to your health.

enjoy

Dear babali,
Good day, Well your question is a bit complicated if one try to hit details, all i can say is that Emotions are life...one can't feel any thing without it. Now it depends on us how we utilize our emotions and how we get emotional...see it has the same when one gets so much happiness he still starts crying but that state is called the extreme of happiness... :) if one is optimist in his attitude and emotional as well then world is for him/her... if not then he/she might have to work on it a lot :)

Being emotionally good or bad is fine, until it becomes in the range of extremities. You have to find a balance. You can't be too emotional and cry at every little thing, or too stoic that when someone dies, you just are cold inside.

Being emotional is not a bad thing. Without it, life would not be as flavorful. You just have to know when to be emotional, and when to be practical.

Emotions themselves are neither 'good' or 'bad'. However, you can 'interpret' them as you wish. Your decision to call them 'good' or 'bad' means that you function only on polarity concepts, without any sense of experientially gained balance in your life. Part of life is experiencing emotion and its vast complexities. We aren't here to learn to be 'Mr. Spock", and emotional expression is not considered to be a weakness unless one has a distorted perspective of what life and experience is really about.
