Actually, the only way to tell the sex of a lizard is internally.
So if your gecko is showing signs of testicles, there's an issue that needs to be checked out.

sounds like there is some sort of problem,lizards sex organs are located inside thier bodies and are not visible.

If it has noticable bulges at the base of it's tale, it probably is a male.
