A large wide rimmed bowl. You can eat anything in including soups, cereals, and other foods that are more liquid than solid.

A large enough and shallow enough bowl will have nearly the same shape as a plate near its center, so choosing a plate would be illogical since the large shallow bowl can be used for the same purposes as a plate and still function in ways that the plate cannot (like holding soup).
The bowl wins.

A PLATE to eat, a bowl to sip from a spoon. My answer is plate, because sometimes I need to cut stuff, with soup, I can use a bowl or a plate, I just have to drink faster with a plate. lol

the bowl - you can always cut things up, but it is more difficult to drink from a plate.
