Go to Symantec.com and run both FREE security scans. GO NOW.
Your computer is slow because virus is eating your hard drive. Your ONLY function now is to GET RID OF VIRUS. Norton (symantec) will either rid you of the pests or wall them off until you can get your computer protected.
Norton Antivirus is $40 or so a year, as is AVG both top rated AV utilities.
For AntiHack, I like Zone Alarm Pro, Adaware is also quite good. Read Tech mags like PC Mag, and PC World, and Tech Republic (all available online, just add .com to their names.
GO SCAN NOW. If prompted to download Active X say yes.
Chances are if you have that much virus you also have changes in registry, I recently bought Registry Mechanic and have had excellent results.
USE SEARCH ENGINES

Download free AntiVirus. My favourite is Avast for home or AVG Anti Virus.
If you just have pictures and documents, you may delete Windows directory (Windows or WinNT) and Program files directory. After that, re-install Windows, install AntiVirus, install Application softwares (picture viewer and office), and then install DeepFreeze or Windows Shared Computer Toolkit.
Your computer will run faster, and no virus can infects your system because your system will be restored every system boot (DeepFreeze can protect harddisk C from modification, and leave harddisk D unprotected for saving for images or documents).
If you think my suggestions are useful, please do rate mine as the best answer. Thank you.

e-trust from computer associates is free for one year then is $20
it is excellent and is recommended by Microsoft. put the name in a search engine to find it and download it. If your computer is slow you could also try defragmenting the HD
