the answer is not blowing in the wind its #2 the guy with the "land down under hat"
with ice u will force the molecules within the gum to slow rthemesleves down and become hard this wont take mor than 30 seconds for each 4-square milimeters of bubble gum as long az its still chewey... peanut buter will ruin your sofa... i reapetPEANUT BUTTER WILL RUIN THE SOFA!

If you can't use an oil based cleaner because it will mark the leather, try an ice-cube applied to the chewing-gum this should make it go hard so that you can pick it off with tweezers or something. I know eucalyptus oil will remove it,but it might mark the leather.
