When I was a kid in the early 80s, I remember seeing this movie on TV I have been trying to find the title of for the last 10 years. It was about these two young lovers that used to go swimming/diving in the ocean together. The girl discovered an underwater cave where an ancient/powerful/gian sea turtle lived. It was an entity of some kind. I don't remember much else, accept the guy begged the girl to come back with him to the surface - but she refused and her eyes started glowing like the turtles.
Any ideas?

The Bermuda Depths is the movie I think you are talking about. Involves a giant sea turtle and a woman from a shipwreck I believe. Check out the sourse link for more detailed on it, from 1979.
