questioning astrology twelve houses construct?

Question

A) How come planet earth is not part of the twelve houses?

B) On what basis is particular associations are made with planets? For example certain planets promote certain qualities
How did they know to associate a certain planet with certain qualities

C) Why is Mercury and Venus hogging two houses?

D) When astrology was borned, people couldnt see planets as far as uranus and neptune without having a telescope of any kind. and the naming conventions of pluto or mercury is recent, they didnt know pluto was pluto and couldnt see pluto!

E) Where is the relationship with particular qualities associated with the movement of the planet? A planet moves on its orbit, and now it has a quality and it influences people on planet earth!! OK!

Astrology, What is the source of this? I mean I can invent a particular construct like this and say venus is hate and sun is sex and when they both meet, you're having bad sex with yor girlfriend.

A) The zodiac chart and 12 houses are based upon the Earth centered (Geocentric) Astrology. The Ascendant/Descendant, the horizontal axis, is the Horizon. The Ascendant is where the Sun was rising when you born and the Descendant where it was setting. This axis divides the chart into the Northern (night, bottom) and Southern (day, top) Hemispheres. The MC/IC axis or the vertical axis is based upon the Meridian and divides the chart into the Eastern (rising, left) and Western (setting, right) Hemispheres.

You can also read charts when they are Sun centered , which is called Heliocentric Astrology, but it is not a common thing to practice. Most Astrology today is based upon Geocentric Astrology.

C) Mercury and Venus have been found through thousands of years of research to govern more than one sign. Mercury rules Gemini (the 3rd house) and Virgo (the 6th house). Venus rules Taurus (the 2nd house) and Libra (the 7th house).

D) You are correct. Using Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in Astrology delineations is relatively new. Uranus was discovered via telescope in 1781. Neptune was discoverd in 1846. Pluto was discovered in 1930. Uranus co-rules Aquarius along with Saturn, Neptune co-rules Pisces along with Jupiter and Pluto co-rules Scorpio along with Mars. Interpretations in the past were less complete until the discovery of the outter three planets.

Answer: So who says that gravitation or tidal effects are the forces that are operational here? Yes, some astrologers have wrongly postulated that they are what makes astrology work. But the fact that they were wrong in identifying the source does not show that there is no effect. And this was done by individual astrologers, not “different astrological schools” as Dr. Franknoi suggests.

And once again, Dr. Franknoi is putting the cart before the horse. Instead of investigating to see if there is in fact an astrological phenomenon, he says, in effect, that there cannot be because he can’t think of a good reason why there should. In a similar fashion, Simon Newcomb, a famous mathematician, “proved” that a heavier-than-air machine could not fly. He, of course, was proved wrong by two bicycle mechanics who did not read his “proof”. Subjectivity like this has no place in science. The proper scientific procedure is to first check if something is so, and then to find a reason why.

Just to expand a little on what others have already mentioned or not mentioned.

Earth is not used by most astrologers. This is because we are living on this planet so it is not aspecting our chart since the longitude and latitude used to create the chart come from locations on this planet. Earth in the horoscope chart is always directly opposite the sun. So if your sun is at 16 degrees cancer, the earth in your chart would be at 16 degrees Capricorn.

Mercury and Venus both rule 2 different signs Gemini and Virgo, Taurus and Libra respectively because there are not enough planets for each sign to have their own ruling planet and the characteristics associated to those planets and signs best fit for ruler ship,

Before Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto were discovered Saturn was assigned ruler ship over Aquarius and Capricorn, Jupiter was assigned over Sagittarius and Pieces and Mars was assigned to Aries and Scorpio. When the planets were discovered, characteristics of the planets were established and it was decided which signs these characteristics worked best with and they were assigned to them.

Scientists are speculating that there is another planet in our solar system that they have not yet found that causes the irregular orbit of Pluto. Astrologers have speculated for years that there is another planet that will eventually be found that they refer to as Vulcan and suggest that when it is found that it will be assigned to Virgo.

However, 150 years ago 500,000 clay tablets were found in Iraq that belongs to the ancient Sumerian and Babylonian people. They date back to 4000 BC, and are the oldest writings on the planet. In the last 50 years half of these tablets have been translated the other half have still not been translated because there are only 4 men in the world that have knowledge of the ancient cuneiform script to be able to translate them. Found among these was information that the Sumerians had advanced knowledge of our solar system. They knew all about all of the planets including Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus and that all the planets orbit around the sun. They even know of the planet that science hasn't located yet; they referred to it as Nibiru or Mar duck. Our present calendar actually originated from their calendar, (with a few adjustments). They were aware of the orbits, 365 days for the earth to orbit the sun.

Some of this information was apparently lost to other civilizations over the years, but there is evidence that they had it. Astrology dates all the way back to the Sumerian and Babylonian cultures. They said that their gods gave them the knowledge. It has been speculated that their gods were ancient astronauts that came to earth thousands of years ago and were worshiped as gods by them. It is said that these astronauts came from the 10th planet that science hasn't found yet.

Also, in the Book of Enoch where Enoch is talking about the fallen angels that Christian churches speculate were the sons of god that married the daughters of men and had children with them, who were the Nephilim or giants in the bible. He states that these fallen angels gave men secret knowledge that they were not supposed to have, like how to read the stars for one.
