How long before did she start cramping and boob pain?

I don't have children yet. I started my period at ten years and two months. I started developing boobs at eight. I heard about girls starting their periods as young as eight (maybe even younger). I know eight for sure because sadly their was a girl who was pregnant at the age of eight years ago.

As you probably know the average age of menarche (when period starts) has become earlier and earlier over the years. I don't have a daughter but some of my friends kids have started even around 10 years old or earlier.

My daughter started at 14, she starting showing signs about 2 months before. I started at 15 no signs at all.

The onset of menstruating varies from girl to girl.
A good indicator for a girl to start bleeding is when the women in her family started, especially her mother. When I was working as a counselor in a group home for girls the youngest girl was 9 years old. Body symptoms can begin with the onset of menstruating.

your daughter might get her period around the same time you got yours when u was younger. Thats usually around the age of 12-16 years old.
