They don't They state their opinion. This is an open forum. If what they are saying bothers you, pass by it and go on to something else. No one demands that you read anything. It's your choice, right........

Most negative people don't even know or admit that they are so. I have seen people begin the long process of change once they were made aware that their negativity was harming the people the cared about. So don't assume they are doing it intentionally.
Instead, take the person aside...one-on-one...and explain to them the effects of their behavior. You'll need to have concrete examples. Since this will probably put them on the defensive, you need to make sure you are ready to but a bright face on things...tell them that you want to help him with changing how people see him.

Look at the media, television and the internet.
It's all negative. Americans are being conditioned to be that way and have been for decades.

freedom of speech...its not a good thing, but we start limiting that and then the limits continue and then everyone hates the government for stepping in and limiting everyone's freedoms
